BLACKGANG CHINE

Chale Cliff-top gardens overlooking the dramatic south-west coast of the Island, with unique attractions for all the family,including Waterforce Waterslide, an exhilarating family boat ride down 100-metre chutes, Giant Hedge Maze, Pirate Fort, Crooked House and Jonah’s Whale. Cliff-Hanger is a thrilling 40mph roller coaster that clings to the edge of the cliff. Throughout the park, you’ll find a fantasy world of goblins, fairies and dinosaurs, plus a full-sized cowboy town, a ghostly mansion and exhibitions about coastal life and woodworking. New for 2008: ‘Chocolate Heaven’, a lip-smacking shop stuffed full of all things chocolatey, and The Wight Experience, an amazing 70 seat cinema showing the Island from the air. Opening May 2008.

THE NEEDLES PARK

Alum BayThere are plenty of extraordinary attractions in this delightful park, which is situated in a truly astonishing setting. As well as an exciting chairlift providing great views of Alum Bay, including the Needles Rock, the Needles lighthouse and the famous coloured sand cliffs of Alum Bay, there are glassblowers and sweetmakers demonstrating their skills. Spins and Needles teacup ride, Junior Driver, Traditional Carousel, Jurassic Golf and Fill Your Own Sand souvenir shop, boat trips and the Traditional Games Kiosk are just some of the other great attractions available in the Park. Age and height restrictions apply on certain attractions. The brand new Pier Head Shopping Emporium opens this year.

throughout August for the Magic in the Skies firework nights. The Park is also open during the winter, although some of the attractions (including the chairlift) will be closed. No admission charge; all day parking: £3. Attractions are all pay-as-you-go.

 

ROBIN HILL

ArretonWith a fabulous mix of exciting rides, adventure play, falconry and beautiful woodland gardens, all set in acres of rolling downland and ancient woodland, Robin Hill has a range of attractions for families and adult-only groups. Thrillseekers will love the Colossus swinging ship, The Time Machine motion cinema and the exciting 400m toboggan run. There are loads of great play areas including the new African Adventure, a tribal themed adventure playground, the best on the Island. Twice daily falconry displays can be seen, along with delightful woodland gardens and ponds, ideal for those who want to relax and unwind. A sculpture trail, Driftwood Dome and woodland appreciation centre in the stilted Treehouse are also recent additions. Robin Hill is famous for its Red Squirrels, with a special Squirrel safari happening every Friday at 3.30pm. A great day out for everyone!
